Boring motorcycle repair post

Hrm. Will probably total about $4-500 for bike stuff. I was hoping for something more towards $400, but, there's nothing majorly wrong with it that I didn't expect, which is great.

My brakes are fine for the time being. The pricey parts are the chassis service/inspection itself, and the new tires + mounting. The tread on my rear tire is not safe, and possibly not even legal. Eep. Kinda expected that, since I had it lock and fishtail on me once or twice last year, which is a little scary. They changed my oil, replaced a signal light, and they're going to make some adjustments on my exhaust, grips, and steering head bearings.

Good thing I get paid this week!

Do you know how much just the tire replacement would be?

My dumb ol' bike won't start reliably. :(

The reason they don't know an exact amount is 'cause they're not sure how much the tires themselves will cost (apparently the supplier catalog prices are occassionally different from reality.) At most, my new pair of standard non-fancy tires will be $130 + $85 for mounting and weighting + a few extra bucks for them to get rid of my old ones. But they're hoping the tires end up being under $100.
