Five songs for five folks

[livejournal.com profile] dangerdhotrod tagged me for this. It's kinda hard!

List five songs that you are currently digging; it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artist and the song in your blog along with your five songs. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to.

1. Daft Punk is Playing at My House - LCD Soundsystem
2. Holla Back Girl - Gwen Stefani
(I'm not sure if "stuck in head" really counts as "digging", but there it is. I blame [livejournal.com profile] hexagonalcarbon and the roller rink equally for this.)
3. BleepBounce - Low Orbit (we just had practice last night. I can't help it.)
4. 6-0-3 - Lali Puna
5. There's No Other Way - Blur (Lali Puna and Blur are living in my car right now.)

(If you already did it, sorry. I do not always pay attention to memes.)
And I'm picking on two of my outta-town Burning Man lj-friends, since I'm really not sure what they listen to. Fun!
I tag:

"There's no other way" is the best brit-pop song of all, ever. Better than "the drowners" by Suede or "There she goes." And that song was totally before Oasis or anything. I remember that song from high school, and then Blur faded out of popularity, and then they came back into popularity with "boys and girls" while I was still in high school, then they faded out again, then the "woo hoo" song made them big again. Then they again laid low until that Gorillaz song came out.

it is really fun finding out what other ppl are listening to. i don't normally respond to or read memes, but this one's just fun and i'm genuinely curious. i'd tag everyone if it was in the rules, but i figured the tagging would get around, and so it has!

i had a 6-0-3 phase in camden town. sometimes nothing beats lali puna.
