Practice was hard, and really fun. Went by really quickly.
Did lots of push ups again. I still suck at push ups. I visualized
hexagonalcarbon laughing his bony little ass off at me as I did my weenie little push ups. One day, I'll do real ones. Still await my new skates and hope they will make me zoom zoom zoom. Breifly thought falling down on her really hurt my teammate, but turns out she's just bruised and doin' fine. Phew. Pretty sure I bruised my bottom some. Wasn't queen of the rink, but did okay. Got slammed pretty good and stayed up, yay! Still haven't found that magical formula for taking someone else out and not having it make me fall down right along with them, though.
star5 and
dangerdhotrod came over last night and found my kitchen table. Super nice of them. It was right there the whole time, in the kitchen underneath a bunch of stuff, right where I left it.
While the reclamation of Kitchen Table was a huge victory for Team Spacebug, Fruit Flies still have a stronghold at Kitchen Sink. Lieutenant S4 launched a valiant strike at PeanutButterJar at around 2200 hours, managing to destroy a goodly portion of the enemy's munitions. The modified battle plan is to starve them out before launching another attack, again employing the trusted aid of Dish Soap. For his valiant efforts, S4 was awarded Spacebug's coveted Leftover Fried Rice, and a nice vodka cocktail.

Make a trap
ascii-type drawing
|\/|
(a good drawing would show you the liquid in the jar with ~~ and so on, but this is html)
Set it out. Watch flies crawl in and become trapped. Lots and lots of flies. Place jar in fridge. Flies go dormant and/or drop dead (the ones that drop into the vinegar will die). Fruit flies love cider vinegar.
Remove jar to exterior and dump into grass... like over a fence onto a nearby highway right of way for example (thinking of your location)
My scientist friend whose thesis depended on several years of studying fruit fly genetics taught us that one.

start with "2's":
do 2 normal pushups
then do 2 knee-pushups
then do 2 'yoga' pushups (the kind where you just straighten your arms but let your body arch up.
then do 1 normal pushup
then one knee pushup
then 1 yoga pushup.
you are done!
do this every night for awhile. it is not too much but builds up the strength.
if you can do "2's" then move up to "3's"
in which you do three of each kind then 2 of each kind then 1 of each kind. move up to 4's and then 5's.
if you can do 5's you are strong!
