26.2 miles is a long way

So, I skated a marathon this morning.

It was tough.

I was not fast, but I finished, and I didn't stop. I didn't care about my time, so I didn't get a time-chip thing, but I think it was around three and a half hours.

Hooray for me.

Now, I can't decide which of these three things I want first, but I will have them all today:
a) shower
b) sleep
c) fried tofu and lots of vegetables and rice

Wow, congratulations! No blisters?

Thanks! Nope! I was surprised I didn't blister, actually, especially because my skates are still pretty new and that ridged concrete was like a blister factory. But, I have some pretty hardcore callousing from derby, my skates have insoles, and I taped my feet beforehand, so it all worked out. My teammate had a monster blister that she says she didn't even notice until she took her skates off, which is nuts- it was raised at least a half inch. She showed us and we just went "Aaaagh! Go to medical!"
