Some random good things, mostly good ones

1.) My project involving caustic substances seems to have proven successful, meaning that I have degreased and subsequently resurrected my 1971 Singer sewing machine to its former glory. I think it still kinda has a split personality regarding thread tension, but that's really nothing new.

Anyway, super excited about that. It was a new years resolution to fix or replace it, so hoo-ray. I feel more accomplished having fixed it, especially fixing it myself, and avoiding throwing away a still-usable piece of equipment. Plus, it only cost $3 for the degreaser, which is way cheaper than a new sewing machine that would probably not be made as well. I narrowly avoided spraying highly caustic solvent in my eyes. Hooray!

2.) It was determined that the breakfast burritos at the rockrockrock can, in fact, be made with tofu scramble in 'em instead of eggs. While mine wasn't, this also means they can be made completely vegan. This was a highly successful new breakfast adventure.

3.) EMI had a big sale this week. As I need a new little amp pretty dang badly, I had grand visions of finding the perfect little thing I need for ~$100 and maybe a small rack to boot. Alas, it was the last day of the sale and they closed at 2pm, an hour before I got there. Curses.

4.) I slept in past noon today. That was delicious.

5.) My poor little skatey legs are sore today.

6.) S4 cleaned his desk and found a delightful piece of mail from [livejournal.com profile] gunn that had gone woefully unnoticed from October. What a lovely surprise.

7.) Then a cute girl invited me to a geek crafting thingy tomorrow afternoon. I accepted. Maybe I'll learn to knit a hat.

8.) The kitchen sink is developing its own ecosystem again. I think I will try to become a doer of dishes and destroyer of worlds.

9.) I'm not sure what I'm up to this evening. There's the boob party, but I'm not sure how into that I'd be.

Also there is another thing. If you are looking for entertainment, the Riverview Theater is showing Rent (the movie) tonight at 8:45. I, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON Rodent, will be attending. It's only 2 or 3 of your American dollars. Please do not twit me. I am just a cute, defenseless little rodent. I am DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONDONDONDONDONDON Rodent!
Okay. Goodbye!
