Up early to St. Paul to run the play. Went pretty well, despite starting over 20 minutes late to accomodate both school groups tardy busses. We skimmed some time off of intermission and ended up only a little late in the end. It feels good to be back in a booth, even if my sound-girl superpowers are barely tapped for this show. Here's a paraphrasing of jodi's introduction to my subbing duties in the booth I hadn't visited in about a year:

Here's our extra spiffy new ginormous mixing board! Isn't it nice? Here's your ONE FADER!

Add that in with the nearly hour-long gaps for reading or crosswords and we have the easiest theatre assignment I've ever run. Yup. Good show though. Its sparseness works for it, in my opinion.

Ran around with s4 before returning home to a nap and more diddling with my unhappy sampler. I found the elusive DIAGNOSTICS page. heehee! I ran a test on my sample RAM, which checked out fine. The other stuff I poked at kind of confuses me, but I don't think I'll get much enlightenment as when I went poking through the manual (of all places to try to fix things), I was left with a succinct paragraph about how the diagnostics pages, of course, are only to be used by Certified Kurzweil Technicians. pfft. I don't have a warranty to void anyway and both frugality and geek-girl curiosity want me to fix this thing myself if at all possible. We'll see.

Oh, and I just got vh1.com to work (yay!) by registering on mtv.com instead. huh.
Currently enjoying the blue room. Thanks, rahna! Heard banco de gaia, who I haven't heard since misplacing the birthday mix cd star5 gave me a year or two ago. Perhaps my brother still has it...
ooh! St. Etienne! yay!
