scary dreams and well wishes
May. 28th, 2003 09:15 amMy dreams were really scary last night. I dreamed first that I was under orders in some kind of neo-nazi movement to kill every person in about four or five apartments. I was given a partner, a map, a pellet gun, and a time limit. The apartment complex was strangely similar to the Chutes and Ladders playground in Bloomington (where I spent some of Sunday.) I followed orders for the first three, feeling helpless and afraid of what they'd do to me if I didn't. Then, because of the pleas of the people and the fact that my partner felt pretty much the same as I did about both the mission and our CO, we stopped, tried to barracade the evil nazis in their underground bunker, and took off to hide in a grocery store. I ended up wandering around an empty break room with a huge row of photo booths down an unlit hallway. I sat in one and waited. My partner had somehow managed to find a trapdoor in one of the freezer cases that I was too large to shimmy through.
Hmm. Perhaps this is what happens to my subconscious when Park police think my friends are carrying rifles in their stunt kite disguises, and my cousin talks a lot about paintball in the same weekend?
I dreamed next that I was being wired up on the huge bungee-swing thing at Valley Fair, and that they screwed up and I fell. I woke up before I knew if there was a net or not.
I hope these are not bad portends for the rest of my day.
On a completely different note, hey
djnoise,
star5, and
rahna, you kids have fun in San Fran, you hear? And say hi to the ocean and to Camille for me, okay? And I'll snuggle your kitties and make sure they get their dinner.
Wow, I haven't been to work in a long time.
