Yay, home.
Oct. 26th, 2003 05:50 pmIt feels like I've been going to one party/social outing to the next, sleeping a number of hours that can be counted on one hand, and going to work, lather-rinse-repeat.
I have been substituting sleep with soy+espresso from Spyhouse before work this weekend. It is at once nice and disconcerting how much one warm, caffeinated beverage can put a positive spin my whole morning, especially when I'm relegated to working a full weekend after going to multiple parties. This morning, walking back the two blocks to my car, I saw a crow and then a squirrel, and was inordinately pleased by both of them. I think I really like the autumn. I'm glad we've had one for more than about five minutes this year. Today at work I realized that I've already worked one more day than is required for me to keep my insurance, so I asked if I might leave early. They didn't care, so I zoomed home after four and a half hours, and then went to AxMan before they closed to get more circuit bending supplies with S4. s4 then left to go celebrate his brother's birthday. The percieved guilt trip I got for not tagging along is somewhat effective, but I'd built up going home early to such a degree in my head once I was at work that I just couldn't bring myself to go to another social engagement straightaway (with parents who may or may not exactly approve of me) right when I was just handed a few hours to do with whatever I please.
So now- do I do laundry? do I make dinner? do I watch something silly? do I clean up the costume making/circuit bending mess? do I play with my new mystery potentiometers? Stupidly exciting, all these options...
