It just dawned on me that today is the last weekend day I will be working at the bead store. While it's a little ridiculous, I have a sudden panic that I'll want a whole bunch of stuff I can get super cheap. Bleh! If I didn't become a super addicted beader while I worked there for over a year, I think I'll be fine now. And I probably could still make arrangements if I wanted to, but I don't want to get anyone in trouble. Heh. I'm the only one there without a massive stash of stuff I want to get. If I worked for a music store, the score might be a little different...

Today is also a concom meeting, and I don't know if any of the Space Lounge crew are going to be in attendance. C is in New York, s4 and I are both at work, danger needed to study, and I don't know if bleep or burnunit were up to it either, seeing as how they never really attended before anyway. I feel bad, but man, it's November! No one's done a bloody thing for July, I promise. Anyway, maybe I should at least do the courtesy of letting them know.

Last night me and my brother and s4 and birdfigment had dinner with my Mom to celebrate my new job. I picked Punch as our restaurant, who makes very yummy Neopolitan pizzas. We also got some of the best artichoke dip I think I've ever had. Yum. And one of the pizza-makin' kids liked my dreads.

Then we all headed out to the art gallery to see some art and see rahna spin. It's a super cool space. I thought immediately whether or not a party might be viable there- I should try to get [livejournal.com profile] djnoise to do some inquiries. Liked a lot of the art, and it didn't have much of a artsnob vibe, which is was very nice. I'm learning how much artsnobbishness is a big turnoff to me, especially after going to Burning Man. Any kind of snobbishness, really. Being snobby is for insecure people who need to feel better than other people in order to make themselves feel valid. Fuckthatshit.
Anyway, saw a bunch of people that I knew, and it was fun.

Went vintage shopping with s4 on Friday and probably found a dress for windelina's wedding. Yay! It's a 50's dress. The owner of the store where I found it wants it cleaned, so it's not mine yet. I found out that I'm too big for a lot of vintage clothes, which sucks. My body type is perfect for 20's and 30's clothes, but they're pretty difficult to find and even more difficult to afford if they're in decent shape. While it's on my mind, everyone at all interested in vintage clothes should go visit Lula's on Selby in St. Paul. She's super super nice, and amazingly knowledgeable. We were all set to leave having not found anything, and then she asked me how tall I was and what I was looking for, and pulled five things off the rack for me to try in five minutes. She can tell what year things are from from their lining fabric, told me I'm long waisted (didn't know that- I'm so gangly it never occured to me),and told me what style of dress would look the best on me.

Enough babble, I'm off to the coffee shop before work.
