Good news and bad news.
Sep. 24th, 2004 06:50 pmWhoa. I didn't realize until just now that lj posting has gotten different.
Talked to some tennants who came in to make some copies just now, including the woman one of the women who runs the Black Dog. I like her- until she found out what my name was, she just referred to me as "honey" or "sweetie". Which is annoying from some people, but from her it was just kind of charming. Anyway, turns out the Nothern has followed suit with the Tilsner, and raised the rent. It's still cheaper than next door, but not by as much as I thought. It is a little too rich for this poor artist, though. At least by myself. The cool thing, though, is that according to those folks, they might look at tax records to determine eligibility. And if they do that, then s4 and I could totally qualify for a really swank 2 bedroom loft together. The ladies asked me what kind of art I made, and I told them I was a musician. Both were instantly really excited about that- apparently they want more musicians in the building. They also said it's a really good time to look into moving, since it's a time of high turnover. And if we qualify together, then it wouldn't be much more expensive than what we're paying now. Which means we could move sooner, which I didn't think was possible.
So, I'm excited about this now. I think I'll grab an application on my way out. Perhaps there's a 30 second commute in my near future.
My boss also emailed that I was doing a great job today, which is really nice to hear.
