Disclaimer- This is really more for me to document how this is going, if it's boring or annoying or something, I'll make a filter or put it under cuts.

Night with splint #1.
Splint was easy to wear and, as I was in bed and thoroughly zonked a full hour before S4, apparently doesn't have much impact on my sleeping. Neat. Upon waking and unwrapping, finger looked a bit straighter and maybe less swollen (the wrapping is to help with swelling more than to keep it straight- that's what the splint's for), though it could be wishful thinking. Main observations: after spending 8 hours being forced mostly straight, finger is waaaaay less okay with bending again. Because I play derby with my hands in fists (this becomes a common reflex when faced with the possibility of falling and having your fingers rolled over), I also know that when my finger has likewise spent some time as fully bent as it can go, it really doesn't like to straighten out again. Also, it has more of a dull ache all the time now instead of just having noticeable pain while in either two extremes. C'mon little tendons! Stretch out!
