Oct. 9th, 2006 08:33 pmHad an odd dream last night- I was moving back into my old apartment. It wasn't my old apartment, but it was in dream-logic. It had rooms, and it had lots and lots of junk that I wanted to get rid of left inside it that was there even though I was supposedly just moving in. Old and ratty things. Things that didn't belong to me, but they were in my living space. Lots of moths. I slept restlessly. It wasn't a bad dream, but it wasn't a good one, either. I got the distinct impression my dreamy brain is either processing stuff or trying to tell me something. Go to it, subconscious!
Been spending a lot of time working on art projects and playing derby. Both of these things have been making me feel more content, which is nice.
Film score is going slow but well, I think. The software I'm using is making more sense, and I stumbled on another really helpful shortcut key. I love when that happens!
We had our first practice with the new teammates yesterday. We had the track for a long time and scrimmaged a bunch. The two hours flew by and it was really fun. The new girls are so good already! It's awesome! I'm also feeling like I'm getting more of the game every time I play, too, which is cool. I've been playing outside my normal blocking position and it's helping more of the game click- I feel less engulfed in chaos and more focused on the game, in general. Aaaand then we did a bunch of conditioning. S4 tells me I'm getting buff. I'm not sure if he's humoring me. I've been many things in my life, but I have never considered myself "buff". My general body shape never really changes, even if my muscles or energy level or endurance do- I think I'm pretty much always the same size whether I'm in good shape or not, I guess 'cause I've always had a naturally high metabolism. My mother would tell me to enjoy that while it lasts. But then, I also don't really care much, and I don't have a bathroom scale or anything, so maybe I do change and I'm just not paying attention.
Busy weekend this weekend.
Farewell, Danger! Good luck in Samoa! You are awesome and I will miss you a lot.
