Halloweeeeeeen
Oct. 31st, 2006 07:11 pmThis is my journal entry mostly to showcase the dancey-monster icon that S4 made it for me, 'cause he's awesome. Monster and I won a costume contest, which I think is the first time I've ever won a costume contest. Thanks, Roller Derby! I was awarded a gift certificate for The Alt, which is awesome, 'cause I can put it towards my new fancypants skates. Wheeeee. I wish they would show up, but me and my feet had to be all difficult and require narrow boots, so they are taking longer.
This morning we got a paper cup full of candy left outside our studio door. My boss brought us homemade sugar cookies shaped like cats and pumpkins and owls, my other coworker brought ginger snaps, and the head of the Art Crawl brought us treat bags full of candy and sugar skulls and a Halloween pencil. I ran home for lunch to find that the lightbulbs in the elevator had been replaced by red and orange party lights and the walls covered in fake cobwebby stuff. My building is having a pumpkin carving gathering, tonight, too. S4 and I want to try to make it to the final night of the Bedlam's Barebones production. I've never seen it and I keep hearing good stuff about it.
Motorcycle still won't go, and I don't feel like dealing with it to get it indoors somewhere. How terrible would it be for it to leave it outside, if i was nice to it and took the battery out and drained the tank and bought a cover for it and everything? Our lot is sorta-kinda sheletered from the wind, as it's kind of sunk down and bordered by buildings.
