Spacecar's engine is totally dead. It would cost more to fix than it did to buy it, so I think we'll likely have it towed off.
I feel like I did this less than six months ago. Oh, right. I did.

This is a bad week for this to happen, right before I have a bunch of stuff to do for the festival, though normally my need for another car is pretty minimal. Maybe we should just keep the one car for a while, save some of the money we spend on insurance and parking, or maybe I'll buy another beater with my tax return. Dunno.

I told my officemate R about my car. She had a thought I hadn't considered- joining a carshare. That might make a lot of sense. We don't have much need for a second car. I walk to work. There's a good chance the cost of that would work out to be equal or less than the monthly amount I paid to keep spacecar parked and insured. There's a hub right across the street. I guess I wouldn't want to plan around when I'd need one, though, and there's time that an hourly rate still doesn't make a lot of sense. But still, something to think about.
