There are workers on scaffolding outside my window right now. They are in the process of tuckpointing our entire north wall, which is what needs to be done to walls made of sandstone brick after 100+ years in order to keep them structurally sound. Basically, this means a painstaking process of grinding out and replacing all of the mortar. S4 very aptly compared the process and the sound to dentistry, but for a building. They'll be at it for the better part of a month.

We put plastic up on our windows, but as there are pockholes everywhere else in the wall, it seems to do very little to keep out the dust, which now covers everything we own with a fine layer. Our electronics are all covered with sheets and towels.

If any of you burners need a little playa-preview, feel free to come and hang out on our dusty couch; we can play some goa and break out the blinkies, maybe Oliver could juggle for us, what the hell, we have high ceilings! If we squint, it'll be almost like the real thing. Except we have a shower, and it's not 100+ degrees in the day and 20 degrees at night, and I still have to go to work.
