Obligatory Home Safe post

S4 and I are, after a 2-3 hour wait for exodus and the ensuing ~30 hour drive from Black Rock, back in St. Paul again safely. The rental car took three washes to get all the playa off, and we needed to stop and get some upholstery cleaner because my red hair dye bled all over the headrests. D'oh! But it is cleaned out and returned, and all of our dusty belongings have been unceremoniously dumped on the floor inside the door to be dealt with Later. We are showered and fed, which feels really fantastic, and enjoying a cold beer. I really wish I didn't have to be at work first thing tomorrow, but there's a big ol' conference on Friday and I have to get everything together. I'm thinking of taking Monday off as a decompression day.

There were highlights and lowlights, but fortunately more of the former than the latter.
