the trick is to keep breathing
Sep. 8th, 2007 10:27 pmBig work conference is in the rear view mirror, as is the group show performance from last night, tech weirdness and all, and so is the wedding in Wisconsin that I'd totally forgotten we'd RSVPed to before leaving for the desert. I can finally take a breath and try to find my feet post-burn. I hadn't really realized how stressed out I was about all of it (+re-entry) until I was loading back in last night. I am currently missing two shows that I'd have liked to see, but it's far better for me to be where I am right now, which is on my couch in my pyjamas. I am giving myself some time by not going to derby tomorrow and I may stay home from work on Monday. I would have taken at least Wednesday before going back to work, but I just couldn't with everything going on.
I really need to finish old projects before taking on these new ones that are bubbling up, but new things are so much more shiny and distracting. I have to keep reminding myself that I would like to have two finished projects and three new ideas to flesh out more than I would like to have five unfinished projects.
Do any of you other computer music dorks use MAX/MSP/Jitter? What do you think about them?
