Math for Me
Nov. 28th, 2007 09:14 amYoga monday + first derby practice in two weeks Tuesday + stupid early wakeup times + crampy girl time = hard to wake up on Wednesday.
It's nice that I was excited to skate, though. Sometimes when I'm away for it a while it's harder to go back. Took me a while to get into scrimmage headspace; while the extra track time would have been nice, I was kind of grateful to only be in every 4th jam. My last one I did do some excellent blocking, though, if I say so myself. I'm not put in as a back blocker very often, but there's something I really like about it. I also had one moment when a girl hit me and instead of taking me out, she fell instead. That's always pretty satisfying. I also finally got a helmet that fits since the dreads came off, so I feel safer and more comfortable. Yay! It is still shiny and un-stickered. And red.
