weekend update
Thank you thank you to everyone who came out to my release party. It was awesome to see so many people I knew there, regardless of a lot of derbyfolk going to Iowa and Con folks heading to Omegacon. A lot of my family came, which was sweet. My performance went pretty well. It helped a lot once we turned it up.
I'm really excited to have this album finished, not only 'cause it's my first one, but because so much of it was in the works for so long. Making new stuff will be really fun.
If you want to listen to it or buy it, you can order it from my website, cdbaby, iTunes, or visit Cheapo or Eclipse records. Or find me out and about. I'll probably always have some copies in my car. ;)
Omegacon was really, really nice and relaxing, the way it's supposed to be. The hot tub was blissfully hot. There was drinking and food and sleep and games and PJ's and friends old and new. It was difficult to get out of bed for work today, but I feel well-rested so I think I mostly blame the fact that our heat isn't on yet (arrrgh!) and I didn't want to leave the warm safety of blankets.
ETA: I can't believe I forgot- one of the reasons I was going to post about Omegacon at all was to give a shout out to the Olsen's for running one hell of a Consuite. Seriously, guys, it was completely awesome. Thank you so much.
