go, go, self promotion machine

I made a song.

Lemme know whatcha think. I haven't finished recording anything new in a long time, it's kinda scary. Posting music is as close as I get to asking if my butt looks big in these pants, you know? I'm trying to get over it. Though I have learned (mostly through my job) that the best way to do that is to make more.
I like my job.

If I can finish one other one, I'll make cds with two new tracks and two older ones.
I also stopped retching long enough to make another myspace page. If you are into that, it's myspace.com/calymusic.

Personally, my favorite part is that my only upcoming show is listed, and it's in Black Rock City, Nevada. Yay.

It can be really hard to tell synths apart, especially when one is pretty blatantly designed to emulate another- I mean, the Ion even has a parameter to imitate a real analog synth's going out of tune. They call it "analog drift". (The sound designers for the Ion would prolly be pretty jazzed to know you couldn't tell the difference between the two!) Anyway, that plan worked, I bought the Ion to be a more reliable/updated version of the Prophet- I think Jj had similar motivations. If a synth geek recognizes a particular model, I'd say it's most often because of a not-very-tweaked preset patch.

And thanks! I'm working on it!
