Hooray!!!

A storage space opened up in our basement. This sounds really boring, but I'm incredibly excited. Now I don't have to haul the bicycles up the verysteep stair/ladder thing! All of our camping crap can doesn't have to be hauled up to the loft! We can turn it into a library, like we have been wanting! I can put all the huge boxen for audio gear out of sight! We could put the dome pipe down there, instead of under our bed. I have somewhere to store the PA that's not in the middle of my studio. Oh, this is so great. And, even though it's a "small" storage space, it looks like it has plenty of room. And because it's smaller, the rental fee is less. Yay!

What's weird is that there's sooo much empty space down there. They could easily create tons more storage areas if they wanted to. Unless the space I remember actually gets used for something...

There is quite a bit of space down there, but the co-op doesn't own the basement; we actually rent the space from G&H (the company who owns the basement-2nd floor.) So we couldn't make more storage down there even if we wanted to, which is too bad. I'm not sure if there's enough storage spaces for everyone to have one or not, though, some folks here have more than one.

I'm jealous!! I keep hoping one of the garages in our building opens up, but it sounds pretty unlikely, and even if one does, the waiting list is looooooong. Poop.
