Thanks to everyone who came out.
Got home late last night. I'm tired, and wearing my comfy sweater. Today I'd like to get out to see the Max5 preview, and maybe go see Richard Devine's lecture and performance tonight... Puzzleweasel plays tonight at the Nomad, which would also be full of awesome breakcore goodness.
Good to see Twin A off-playa. I wish I'd seen the lecture he did yesterday, but had a meeting to run at work. He came later and missed my set, so, we're square. :)
I've been kind of tired and easily distracted at work as I don't think I've had a chance to really recover from the bout yet and I've had this performance looming. I'm feeling a lot of relief that I can just chill out now and be a Spark consumer, and spend March working on non-performance-related pieces of projects. I don't think my set was the best thing I've ever done, but it was all right and I got a lot of compliments. It's making me think about how I might be able to rework the setup so I can make use of a sound guy. I either just need more practice playing through loud PA systems or I need to tweak something in my setup. Probably both.
One of my favorite things about Spark is the people. Everyone is so cool and friendly and non-diva, it's so nice. The split is clear, though, this genre in which I find myself is such a boys club. Electronic art needs more ladies!
