Damn, I'm sore.

Got back a bit ago from the impromptu camping trip with s4. Apparently the memory of the largely uphill, mile-long hike to the Afton campground was fuzzy and a little easier when my dear boy was in high school. No matter, we're tough, and our way-out site was very nice and secluded, allowing me to do things like whup around fire without getting noticed or in trouble. (It'd still probably be best if we didn't tell my mom, though.) This is my second attempt with real, live fire, and the first in total darkness or with photographic evidence. s4 took some damn fine

Anyone else excited for Burning Man?

It seems so very many cool things one wants to do for burning man would be aided by welding equipment.

welding equipment

I can make that happen. My mother has my aceteline tanks in her garage. I tried to get her into it, because well, I hate to see that shit go to waste. But she's a busy lady. They're worth about maybe $400. Want to use it? The tanks are probably mostly full. Its so easy and fun. Danger would show you how for some tofu...

Let me know, or anyone in Mpls... Not ready to give/sell it yet. I love welding like nothing else on earth.

Excellent... I've only done a small amount of welding- a bit with oxy-acetylene and a bit with a mig welder. Nothing more than a few practice seams, but yeah, i can see how it'd be addictive. My lack of drive for BM projets is annoying and lamentable; I think I'm too overwhelmed by stressors of other kinds right now. thppt. While it's hardly unique to the event, maybe poi can be more of a contribution on my part this year, if I'm not too intimidated. I still feel like I'm pretty green.
