This week seems to be whizzing right on by. It must know how little I've done about holiday presents or something. I'll feel more inclined after I get paid this week, I think. I haven't had this little in my account for quite some time. I knew it was coming, but man, it stings when the deposit and the half months rent and the full months rent and the application fee and the college loan payment and the car fixing all come out in the same week or so, ugh. Especially since my paychecks are still docked to make up for accidentally getting paid when I was at Burning Man. I hope the damage deposit from the old place shows up soon. On the plus side, when I finally start getting full paychecks again it will feel like a big ol' raise, even though it's not! ...yeah.
It's my birthday this week. Somehow it doesn't really seem like a big deal. I haven't really made any plans, and our party was last weekend so I don't really feel like hosting another one. My grandmother is having an open house on my birthday day, which I feel kind of obligated yet not very excited to attend. s4 and I made a tentative plan to get some fancy coffee and dessert, though he might be working late. Maybe I'll make all my friends go see the Lemony Snicket movie in lieu of Sunday Sci-Fi. If it's out. Is it out yet? My Mom hasn't asked about going out for dinner, which is what we usually do. She's probably busy helping Grandma, and she assumes I have big plans with my friends. There is the Triple Threat Sagittarian Hoo-Haw on Saturday night which will be fun, but I will have to think of one of my something fun's to do Sunday day since it's my actual Birthday. Come on, funstuff brain! Go!
I was reading my new years resolutions from last year, and realized I didn't get very far with them. I did go visit North Carolina, so I got one down. And I did sign up for a SCUBA class, but then I got fired and couldn't go. And I still don't know if I want to go to grad school, but I do know I don't want to go this year, at least, since I found a job that I like that I want to keep for a while. And I got a new, good apartment, which is very big and not on the list at all! And I did make a good piece of art, even though it wasn't interactive and it didn't come to burning man. So... I got good things done, just not the ones that I meant to. So that's okay.
So... even though my real new year happens in September and it's not quite the end of the calendar year, it is my birthday week and I'm going to think about things I want to do. 'Cause it's always a good idea to do that.
