Tuesdaisies

Tummy is much better today. I feel really good this morning, actually, which I'm attributing to
the many things that made my evening last night a very pleasant one:
- yoga class
- post-yoga sauna
- yummy dinner
- pleasant company
- falling asleep before midnight

It is also sunny today.

I have decided that I like yoga quite a lot. (Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] r0ckc4ndy!) It is sneaky, the way it makes you focus and breathe without making you really notice that you are focusing and breathing. It also makes me feel just enough like I've done something good for my body. Like I'm not sore, but I have something more of a sense of where I am in my skin, if that makes any sense.

I've got a few things off of my desk, updated some online stuff, returned some phone calls and emails, and may even reach my long standing goal of getting through my inbox. We'll see how it goes.

I totally want to try that before midnight thing. It sounds cool. Like you.

I've never heard anyone indifferent about the effects of yoga, once they first try it. Anyone I've talked to has been remarkably impressed with its effects, even its immediate gains. I keep meaning to start it up myself, especially after I hear yet another person's ringing endorsement.

Dunno. My opinons might not be trustworthy- I like vanilla silk. ;)

Plus he's obviously never talked to me.

Right. Though it follows that you are not indifferent. Definitely an opinion, there.

i took yoga for a few months... i can't really say it did anything for me. i was also, by far, the most uncoordinated and unflexible person in any class that i took. i'll have to try a different style.

kickboxing was another story... i started feeling results after just four classes. i could run up many flights of stairs without running out of breath, my arms had quite a bit more muscle development, and i started sleeping better.

still, i'd like to take up tai chi.
