A few things I appreciate about being a "grown up" in no particular order

I can stay out late on a weeknight if I wanna.

I can have a cookie whenever I want

I don't have to go to high school

I can drive myself to the store

I'm tall enough to see what's on countertops

I can and do leave my room messy for weeks at a time

My house is 98% vegetarian

You should email that your mom.

What's the 2% non veg? Catfood? Hmm. No cat. Bonemeal for plants? Bloodworm fishfood?

S4's not veg. So the 2% is usually when he eats frozen pizzas with meaty toppings. 2% is probably pretty high, still, actually.

i love that, too.
sometimes i think being an adult is a pain, but then i think of all that stuff and i feel better.
especially after i eat the cookie. ;)

I love being an adult. I would never go back to high school or earlier, except maybe to tell my younger self a few reassuring truths.

I play my music too loud.
I don't always brush my teeth before bed.
I eat cookie dough and potato chips as "dinner".

i was totally like 'ya! ya!' then i hit

> I can drive myself to the store

but then i can't do that as a grown up right now because i'm totally grounded. it's like, totally a drag.

Yeah, totally. I totally have to share the car with Scott, and that kinda sucks sometimes, you know?

What about that two-wheeled motor transport you used to have?

[identity profile] omaha.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
it's still kinda winter there, ain't it?

HAHAha! That's so cute imagining you trying to see over a counter! Now I wish you'd been about 3 feet tall when we lived together.

[identity profile] nibblesonwords.livejournal.com 2005-03-25 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
i'm still not tall enough to see what's on a lot of countertops. *sniffles*

(hehe! ;)

i often wonder how i can even expect to be taken seriously when i am standing behind the genius bar and i'm standing up on my tippy-toes to not have it be right beneath my armpits. the worst part, though, is when i forget that i'm "supposed" to be standing on my toes and i settle down to my real height, because then everyone knows that i'm totally pretending to be taller. because they wouldn't know otherwise, you see... hmm, yes, there is something lacking in my deduction, isn't there? hehe :)

Big boots. Giant enourmous platformy boots. I wear them all the thime and recently I took them off and was like..hey I'm short! So people wouldn't even notice you were wearing them pretty soon!
