Almost April

I must not be feeling much like work today, 'cause I'm posting an awful lot. I blame the nice weather.


My coworker has been out of the office for two weeks, and he's scheduled to come back on Monday. When he goes, it's our job to feed his lone zebrafish, Party Top.

Because it's almost April 1, and because we are a silly workplace, hominidgrrl and I went to the pet shop over our lunchbreak and got another zebrafish. It is very, very tiny. We plan to swap Party Top for NewLittleGuy, and tell our co-worker that we must have thought the other was charged with his feeding while he was away.

And it's extra funny, since he's been in France, where April Fool's Day is fish-centric:

It is a damned nice day outside. Blue sky and everything. I even felt overdressed with my black field jacket - I could've been happy in just my sweater and mock turtleneck. I have to admire the ice that insists on lingering in errant puddles, because this is too nice a day for that to last.
