Some things that aren't that other stuff.
1. And lo, it goes. Got the bike running this weekend. It didn't start *right* up, but it only took a little prodding to get it running again. Yay!
Can anyone (lex? rogers? vax?) recommend a good place that I can take a 20+ year old bike and just... get it checked out? Everything feels okay to me, but it's my first bike and it's old, I've only got one season under me and I want to keep it running well and not be in danger of breakdown if there are things that are easily fixable. I know that I need to change the oil for spring and that it'd be a good idea to get new tires before I go very far this year, and that I could also use new brake pads. Other than that... I dunno. But I also don't want to bring it somewhere holding a big flashing "I'm just a girl, feel free to screw me over" sign.
I have one name, but suggestions are good...
On that note, my normal roadside assistance doesn't cover motorcycles. If any bikers have advice on that, I'd be interested. I can't really think of any truck-friends who could easily help bail me 'n' Feigal out if something nasty happened on the freeway, and that scares me.
I still also wanna put new handlebars on sometime this summer. And I'd like a new helmet that fits better. And then I'd have a spare and could take a passenger sometime. Though that's a little scary to me, since I'm sooo skeeeeny.
*vroom*
2. Final yoga class already tonight. Six weeks went by like nothin'.
3. I am full of worky slack. Such terrible spring feverness.
4. New boss had her first day today, except I was the only one here. She is very nice, and turns out also to be friends with household
burnunit. Think we'll get on fine.
And I just realized that, through an interesting confluence of events, I don't have my housekeys with me, and that my motorcycle key is sitting unhelpfully on the table at home, next to my helmet.
Sorry,
star5... I wasn't thinking today. Hope traffic doesn't suck.
