On Laundry

Last weekend, I thought,

"I'm going to do laundry."
"...I know I have a busy weekend, but I really have to do some laundry."

On Monday, I thought,

"Okay. Maybe during the week I'll get some laundry in. And if that doesn't happen, I really, really have to get some laundry done this weekend."
"Really."

This weekend, I thought,
"Okay. I really, really, really have to get some laundry done."



...Today, I think,
"Shit. How bad would I let things go if I didn't even have laundry facilities on site?"

I can't even blame not having any quarters.

I'm really looking forward to not spending several minutes every morning before work, bedside lamp carefully aimed away from sleeping boyfriend and into the sock drawer, pawing through seldom-worn pantyhose and fancy tights, the ones with holes I never wear yet never throw out, searching for the reaminaing elusive two clean socks that are roughly the same size and thickness. (Matching often goes by the wayside, even when clean socks are plentiful.)

Today, I even found a matching pair!

I figured that since it was snowing on Mayday, I could damn well wear Christmas socks if I wanted.

i'm totally with you...
my solution to not doing laundry and not having clean panties: going to target and buying a 4-pack of girls panties (they even have low-rise!) for $4.99.
i am lame! :D

I will see if my date feels up to it. I have yoga class tonight and I'm getting up stupid-early to get star5 at the airport tomorrow, so it's not terribly likely. But I won't rule it out completely.
