a bit of geekery

Perhaps one day it won't take me upwards of an hour to ferret out pretty trivial routing errors. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday.
I feel accomplished for finding the source of my problem anyway. Even if it's something I should have known, especially since it's something I've done before- but at least it won't be bugging me at work today. I didn't have enough time to patch things a different and (i'd like to think) somewhat clever way, but I still hold out hope that the next time I get into my studio I'll actually record something.

Yesterday, Dr. Nick and I (and dangerd, too) moved all of the gear & PA from my dining room down into the basement which involved re-patching all the audio sources. Though, surprisingly, I think it took only two and half hours. Naturally, afterwards we were too tired to really do anything. But at least I have my dining room back.

My favorite of the gear-moves was from Dr. Nick's basement studio to the attic studio. People who haven't experienced those attic stairs can't properly appreciate those stairs + lots of heavy expensive stuff.

My favorite part was "supervising" danger & Nick carrying the ~$5k Doepfer (the synths and the sequencer tenuously bolted together) down the basement stairs.
