Okay, so that last post? That's not how it ended up happening at all. Well, sort of. I did all that, and I went to Rosedale Chevrolet on my motorcycle. And they tried to cut me a key, except that they couldn't really find the right code or something, even with three people checking both in- house and on the phone with other dealerships and things. So they gave me one they made and didn't charge me, which was really nice. Especially since it didn't work. But they were very pleasant and apologetic, which actually counts for a lot, and suggested I go to a locksmith. Fortunately, I live a stone's throw from a locksmith. So I went there, and told them all that stuff. The locksmith had me call the dealership I just came from and get the key code again. And then he, too, tried to make me a key. And I brought it home and tried it. And it didn't work. And then I went back and told the locksmith it didn't work. It didn't even fit into the doors. I had visions of needing all my locks replaced and my ignition rekeyed and it costing basically what the car cost and it would all be my stupid fault. I brought the key back. And he looked at and made a phone call and made me another one. And I brought that one home and it did work. And there was much rejoicing. So I brought it back again and had two copies made, and then I also had my motorcycle key duplicated for good measure to avoid having a day like this again. And all of that ended up costing me less than $20. Woohoo! And then I got myself a sammich, and then I came back to work. And soon I'll be leaving early to go to yoga.

Yeah!! i wish i could hot tub party but I don;t think i could swim a lap right now, plus family dinner. Misses you!
