*fold* *fold* *stuff* *stuff*

I need to do that about 545 more times, and then zoom them through the postage meter.

Working for a place dependent on grants and donations kind of feels like needing an allowance from your parents.

Anyone have any awesome envelope stuffing music suggestions?

It's also nice to have something mindless to do, so that I can really focus on the pre-derby tryout butterflies.
I've never tried out for any kind of athletic thing, ever.

Whee!

kia and i were talking about it last night and we hear it's going to be a draft pick. we both fear that it'll be just like kickball in school and we'll be hoping we're not left standing unpicked.

Aw, crap! That's so nervewracking!

what does draft pick mean?

that's like in gym class where there's captains and they take turns picking people. so that you stand up there super nervous and the longer you're up there, the more sucky it gets. i was always one of the last picked.

Me too! I had to play badmitten with the gym class TA, I was so crappy. None of the kids ever wanted to play with me in class. A lot of that was 'cause all the other band dorks (read: all of my friends) took summer school gym to get it overwith and use the credits for other classes- but I was such a dork I spent my summer doing the musicals. Oh, yeah.

Anything with a beat and enough musical interest that your mind doesn't rebel on you. I favor some good drum'n'bass, but YMMV.

So far for me, trying to get grants doesn't feel so much like a kid with an allowance. Maybe it's because I don't get paid at OneWorld. Or maybe it's because so far, all I've done is research funders - not actually send off any requests for money.

Oh good luck on your tryouts! I'm awestruck. (I'd never try out for that; I'm too clumsy and awkward and afraid of being maimed.)
