Newbie rollerderby tip:
When you're doing falling drills, and some might have you sliding on your hip fairly often, it's a good idea to remember to take your big carabiner full of keys out of your side pocket first. D'oh!
Good practice. Had a delicious pint of beer after and went to bed plum tuckered out before midnight. There's something I really enjoy about intentional physical exhaustion and the kind of sleep it tends to net over just emotional exhaustion or other weird stress.
Haven't gotten used to doing yoga on toe stops.
Needneedneed new skates, with silly perks like adjustable trucks and bearings that actually move.
I should be able to do real, live push-ups someday soon.
...Should I make a 'derby filter?
The extension cord inspectors never showed before S4 had to go to work. Big surprise, there.
I've been really into iced coffee lately, except that it's nearly impossible to dissolve my favorite sweet things into it. Yesterday I ended up with my whole crunchy packet of raw sugar on the bottom of my glass, today I was reminded that honey turns into a high viscosity mess if you get it cold.
Oh well. Still yummy. The supercutiepie of a barista girl who sometimes works in the morning, in addition to being a supercutiepie also always remembers that I like soy, which makes me happy.
Low Orbit got Speak 'n' Glitch accepted to a different comp cd via mnartists.org. Yeeeeaaah!
Looking forward both to rehearsal tonight and to playing out again.

on sweeteners:i use raw sugar too, and i actually kind of like it. i wonder if my teeth will.. but for now.. there's something yummy to it. i just have to pace myself to make it last through the whole iced coffee. you could always get a shot of some flavor.. but that does make it more expensive.
