My booty is sore from falling on it last night.

I don't feel like I played very well last night. A few possible excuses could be employed for this: it was really damn hard to tell who was on whose team, since we didn't have extra scrimmage teeshirts (I got to wear Sayonara's -who is several cup sizes larger than me- extra light blue sport bra as *my* team designator. Over my teeshirt. Yeah. Hhot.), I pushed myself in endurance drills, so I could have just been tired out, and I also feel like I'm getting a cold, despite my vigilance with vitamin C and zinc tablets, but dunno. Just kinda felt off, like I was in the way of my teammates more than I was helping anyone.
I also have long arm/pointy elbow syndrome, so even when I mean to block with my shoulder or my arm like yer s'posed to, I tend to sometimes get them in the face or the throat with my elbows instead. That's discouraging, too. Although one girl thought that I elbowed her and it *was* really my shoulder-I'm just bony so it's confusing in the bout chaos. Even though we're allowed to skate with elbows out this year, we're not allowed to *hit* with them, so I gotta concentrate on keeping those badboys tucked in until I get used to it. I'm gangly and my limbs tend to kinda flail around when I skate in general, so this is proving difficult for me. Can't we just resolve this with temporary amputation? I mean, really.

Went to the Chatterbox after practice, where I had much needed pizza and beer and also played Super Mario Brothers. It was Super fun, and a bunch of people were watching and bonding over childhood nintendo experience. Funny. Also, in a rare turn of events for the Chatterbox open mic night, the music was entirely pleasant and at a completely reasonable volume. (Except that guy who always, always, always, always sings the stupid song about being George Kaufman's cat in a past life sang it *again* and it makes me want to grind my fingernails into the table.) But besides that, mark the calendar. It was nice. Our game was watched and sang about at one point by an open mic performer, which was hilarious.

So... I'm really just putting off things I've put off for a long time that I don't want to deal with at work. Blech, timecard reconstruction and vacation time messiness. Blech!!

ya, the other people were just playing good music and the last guy was trying to prove something (annoying!). it was like he was trying to make us listen to him and it was like if someone tried to talk his volume would go up.

and i totally know that song you are talking about and how that guy plays that song that is not even a good song but he thinks it is clever or cute or something when it is actually just irritating.

hereby ends another positive gem from a-frame!
