I've been very responsible today.

I called and paid off my little-but-maxed credit card- they never sent me a bill and I wanted it cleared before I head out of town again. That means burning man is paid for. Yay. I also paid rent yesterday. I also found a clinic to go to (the two last doctors offices I've been to have closed. Huh.) and made two doctors appointments this month. One is tomorrow morning to get my lower spine/tailbone checked out, since I still have shooting pain from falling on Friday, and another for a regular ol' physical, for which I'm overdue. Hoo-ray for health insurance. I'm going to a clinic specifically for women, which I think is cool. I feel a little like I'm being a wussy hypochondriac about the back thing, but I'd rather know what's up. What the hell, it's what insurance is for, and I've woken up in pain for four days. So, yah. Between the storm and the pain, I decided to skip derby practice. I could rationalize that away as responsible too. Just try me.

Now if we took the car in and paid for the tabs and stuff, we'd get shiny gold stars for being grown ups. Or something.

We're taking advantage of the storm and watching really horrible "horror" movies on a Halloween dvd from the dollar bin at Target. Sweet. The fact that I'm in the other room journalling instead of watching is a testament to their captivating level of quality.

Edit:
Yep, just bruised up. Hooray!

you're not being a hypochondriac about the back thing. 4 days of pain is a good indicator that you need to see a doctor. lets hope its nothing major.

i'm sure ladder drills would not have been pleasant.

Yeah... I doubt I would have skated even if I'd gone, which is mostly why I stayed home, as I'll still have enough to meet attendance for the 14th. I was reeeeaaaaaallly not in the mood to try and skate, do it half-assed, and have it implied that being in pain = lazy. Derby tends to bring out that all-or-nothing mindset. Which can be good and bad.

meeeeeee too. My guess is that my cure is time and ibuprofen.

We'll see if I'm as good as a doctor. :)

Aw, crap. The only title I remember is the Casper cartoon interlude, called "A Haunting We Will Go". One was about a woman who was scarred on her face and a creepy doctor guy who "cured" her- I think it was Italian- the other was about zombie soldiers in WWII and sounded much more promising than it was.
