Last night, I did something rather out of character.

I stayed in.

S4 was working late, I was invited both to a show I wanted to see and later out for a beer with a girl I wanted to see. I didn't have any transportation and I was even offered RIDES. And I stayed in. I ordered myself a pizza, I did a load of laundry, I visited the neighbor for a dose of highly addictive cable television sans commercials courtesy of tivo, was given an alcoholic slushie drink, and had her fat kitty sit right in my lap and purr.

It was nice.

But I still didn't manage to get to sleep any earlier, like I wanted to, nor did I rock out, like I thought I might. Maybe tonight, if I skip practice. I might. I feel I'm very close to reclaiming my house and the non-derby aspects of my life. This is good.

Yeah... that's true. But we hop over our narrow hallway to each other's houses pretty often so it didn't feel like it counted. No coat required!

yeah the neighbor thing is a pretty grey area. that would drain me faster than staying in would, since it does involve socializing... it's not *quite* as relaxing. for me.

it's cool you're friends with your neighbor, though. the closest i've come to being friends with a neighbor (the kind of friends that pop by, that is) is when some friends of mine lived upstairs from me. that only lasted a year, though, then i left the country.

if we're going by the coat rule, i haven't gone out in months!
