Looks like Ramsey District Court only requires me to send a copy of the police report proving my car was stolen as a means to not pay my parking ticket. Neat. Hooray, no having to go see a hearing officer.
So now that we've:
1. filed the police report
2. had the car towed
3. taken the car off the insurance policy
4. retrieved the title for the towed car
5. visited the junkyard the car went to so to officially transfer the title (so it's not left in a river in five years, still in my name)
6. picked up a copy of the police report (costs a dollar and must be done in person)
7. bought a new old car
8. changed the insurance policy to cover the new old car
9. and copied the report and put it in the mail to the district court-
I think we can move on, now.
Yay.
