The family that tows together stays together

I feel like kind of an asshole for not even making a token appearance at my family's gathering this year. My car isn't running, and my Mom had even offered to pick me up, but the timing was just off... So I didn't go. Even though there's nothing for me to eat there, I still feel bad. And then she called me to say her car wouldn't start, so it's a good thing I didn't borrow it yesterday. We're both waiting for tow trucks on opposite sides of town right now.

Huh.

Hope it's not too expensive.

The snow is pretty.

i think its crappy that after all these years, there is still nothing for you to eat at thanksgiving. you are their own. my vegetarian boyfriend hasn't even been to a family gathering and my mother already looks out for what he could and could not eat and has perfected a nummy tofu spinach pie recipe as a stand-by. what's your family's problem?

Well, "nothing" is a strong word- but I do like to eat more than carbohydrates on occassion.

It helps that our cars were both uber-cheap. Even if we have to pay again what we paid to get them fixed, they're probably still worth it. ...maybe.
