Good Ghosts

spacebugAwesome people from my past are surfacing today. First, S4 completely randomly had an appointment at work with none other than my beloved saxophone teacher between 5th grade to the time I graduated from high school. She probably did more for my musical growth than any other single person in my life, so it was simply delightful to hear of her and know she's doing well.
Then, I got an email from my old music-school bud Benj, inviting me to a show he's playing with Dosh and some other folks at the entry tomorrow. We haven't had any contact for at least a year or two- probably since we tried and failed to get the sci-fi radio drama off the ground with the punk rock kids at The Church. Good to hear from him. I invited him to the bout and asked if he has any leads for solo shows while I was at it. I'd like to make it to his show- it'd be good to see him, and I also missed Dosh opening for Halloween Alaska a week or so ago.
Both of these things put me in such a good mood today!
