I stopped at mom's yesterday after the concom meeting and picked up various things that had come in the mail for me. New license, new check card, various miscellany, and my new-old clarinet! neat!
Playing clarinet is far more difficult that I'd have thought it would be, especially being a proficient saxophonist. erg. I hate being self-concious in a multi-tenant dwelling, but they can't like this squaking any more than me....

do you have a rubber ducky squeak when you play your clarinet?

It's not so much rubber ducky type squeaking, it's that the higher partials want to come out rather than the fundamental. That happens a lot with woodwinds in general but more often with the clarinet than others, I think... better with practice, I guess. So long as the neighbors don't kill me first.
