Ethel gave me fraggle socks. They're awesome.

Yaaren took some pictures of me. I'm excited to look at them again; I think there are some that I really really like, pictures that look like *me*.

I will see birdfigment and hopefully also my brother tomorrow.

I haven't gotten enough sleep.

I gave my cute little car a good dose of cosmetic damage by scraping it on a pillar tonight. I feel like a huge idiot.

I feel as though I should be eating better.

I'd like to be consumed by a novel again, sometime soon. I want to read something I don't want to put down, something I stay up too late to read more, something that makes me sad when it ends, not because it's sad but because there are no further adventures for the characters.

Seconded on Anansi Boys. I did exactly what you describe with that, and it was utterly worthwhile.

Good old ilexcassine did the same thing to our car. I still love her, and I think the car may even be slightly cuter (read: more punkrock) for its bendy fiberglass. Maybe you guys could start a club?

Ha! Were you in a vehicle of some sort? Was I scowling? When I came out of National Camera I grinned for about five minutes, and then traffic intervened and I scowled the rest of the way.

I have a large novel I can lend you, if you like. It requires some patience, though, but the story is engrossing.
