Rockin' out saturday night
Aug. 21st, 2004 11:00 pmFinished my first full work week in over 3 months yesterday. Man, jobs take up a lot of time. Anyway. Here's today:
Slept in.
Woke up.
Finished sewing fuzzy blue spikes. I hope I don't need any more of them, as I don't feel like going all the way up to SR Harris for a few scraps of blue fuzzy stuff...
Ate sammich.
Ran errands in Roseville for a few hours. Procured:
-black leggings
-9 volt connectors and resistors for LED projects
-50 blank mini cd's and cases
Failed to procure shiny purple fabric for the other kids and managed to leave the fabric store without buying anything. Wow.
Last night I got:
-Bright new LED bike light- mine was kinda dim and crappy last year
-improved comfy bike seat with built in light for only $10- mine was kinda stupid and hurty last year
-blinky tire light things (may be converted to poi instead)
-black tee shirt
-wet wipes
Still want:
-new respirator
-fuel for firedancing
-maybe new bag and/or camera case
-maybe new goggles
It was a fabulous day for motorcycling. Errands by motorcycle are more fun.
Ran into Thaad today too, which was cool.
Got a load of laundry washed. It's sorely needed.
Came home and hunkered down in front of the burner and the printer. Got a few Low Orbit EP's sucessfully copied and labeled before meeting the dome construction crew during a lull and eating their pizza. Stood around and felt unhelpful for a while before deciding to come home to continue burning cds.
My somewhat impressive looking stack of mini cd's has all been whittled away. Yay! 50 lucky members of the unwashed desert masses get to meet Low Orbit (though they don't get the full handmade EP experience because I just don't have the time or inclination to force apart and individually glue 50 more floppy disks right now.) Still have inserts to print and cut, though.
Starting to feel a little poor. I haven't gotten paid from the new job yet. I think that happens next week. It'd be nice to have a little extra cash before leaving town.
I'm impressed with how tired I feel despite sleeping in. I really want to finish some projects, but I might just give in to my bed soon instead.
No sign of my s4, either. Guess he's still off sewing or vacuum forming or someting.
