...Turn to the left...
Oct. 6th, 2004 01:51 pmSo, I've opted not to go to the Wisconsin decompression party this weekend. I'm kinda bummed, since I really want to go camping again before it's too cold, but I just went to Madison this past weekend already, there's tons of stuff going on this weekend that I don't want to miss, and, mainly, my coworker asked me to model in a fashion show for her at the History Center. I'd feel really awful not pulling this favor, as she got the brunt of my absence from Burning Man, she'll get it again when I go to DC, she's the reason I didn't have to come in for the weekend when the networking people came to set up the network, and she's going to be staying later on Friday so our office can be open for more of the Art Crawl. It's also a really fun dress, it's for a good cause (basically, our non-profit gets a few hundred bucks for participating), it's good publicity and it's nice to have two staff here involved. It also didn't hurt that she hit me up to be a model right after I was trying to wrangle a bunch of people to wear my clothes, so I was pretty sympathetic. It also didn't hurt that she thinks my hair would match and that my blue and black stripey tights would look really good with it. ;) So. Another fashion show within two weeks! for your amusement, here's a picture and blurb of what I'll be wearing: ( The American Party Dress )
Should be fun. If anyone wants to go and see me in this thing, lemme know.
Edit: The designer would prefer that I wear red and white striped tights. I don't have any, strangely. If anyone has some they wouldn't mind lending me, lemme know.
