Does anyone need help?
Nov. 2nd, 2004 08:29 amI'm at work all day, after which I will go down to Bloomington where I'm registered and get my booty to the polls. But- suddenly we've found ourselves with another car, and my job is very politically sensitive, so I'd be able to leave if it were for something as important as getting a voter out.
If you need a ride to the polls, let me know, and I will do whatever I can to help you.
I wish we had "national voting day". Even though employers legally have to let you have time to vote, not everyone uses that right. I really wonder how much voter turnout might improve if John Q Factory Worker didn't feel he was making a ruckus to leave work an hour early for voting.
I'm trying to resign myself early to the fact that we might not know the results right away tonight. Is anyone watching the returns? I don't have a TV.
In other news, I'm on my way to drop off the deposit for our new place.
Whee!
