Not completely wicked
Had a weekend full of goodness.
I slept straight through 'til noon both saturday and sunday, and oooooh man, was it divine. I don't think I'd had a full, unadulterated night of sleep like those since before the convention. It was blissfully decadent. I don't doubt my body needed it, though I do wonder how much less I'd want to sleep in on days I'm allowed if I had more light in my apartment. As much as I love my apartment, I do so find myself coveting people's windows.
Saturday, S4 and I headed to the farmers market, out for brunch, and then went swimming instead of cleaning the house like we said we would. And then we grilled food with a bunch of fabulous people and came home later than we thought we would.
Sunday I skipped a breakfast invitation in favor of cleaning up my house a bit. I didn't get very far, but it's an improvement nonetheless. Then I went to the dragonboat races where I ate noodles and had cute girls share their italian ice with me (highly recommended), and then I went swimming in a lake, and then got ice cream. At the ice cream parlor, I got to pet a puppy and see a small child drop his ice cream scoop. The whole experience was so very summery. And then there was pizza and a book shop and a card game and an episode of 'dead like me' and more sleep.
And then I woke this morning thinking that I'm very busy and pretty happy these days (I like being busy and my friends are lovely), but also thinking that I've made perhaps not enough time for myself of late. Maybe I'll start trying to get up early again this week- I've been pretty awful with that in the last several weeks. I'd also like to get into a book. The one I was trying to get into isn't really sticking with me, it seems. I wonder if that's more my fault or the book's.
