I'm proud of me.
After I got back from work this evening, I turned down a tempting dinner invitation with three people I don't see much. Instead, I sat down and worked on music. I didn't just sketch things out like I've been doing, I started doing the stuff I tend to not like doing. The stuff that's the reason behind why those of you who want cd's from me don't have them. I took one of the sketches I posted here a bit ago, and I deconstructed it, located the patches I used, separated the tracks, and started re-recording them. I thought about what I want to do to them to go from 30 second sketch to full track. This is the stuff I almost never ever do unless someone (read: bandmate) pushes me to do it. I can fuck around and make up pretty stuff until the cows come home, but actually starting to organize it in order to get it into a final format is the work part that I tend to not get around to. So, yay. I think I get scared of finishing things because when things are finished is when they can be criticized. Up until then, it's safely in the "work in progress" mode, and I won't really care what you think, since it's not done, see?
Ah, my little artistic insecurites...
And I did some dishes.
And now it's time for derby.
blorp, bloop, bleep.
