3. Something of a meltdown on the Rockits today
I'm trying my best to just plow through number one, and hope that everything works out with a minimum of stupidity in terms of missing or wrong information and the bad parts of what happens when you get a bunch of hippies trying to run shit. Grr. I kinda thought I might take it as a bad sign when I'm overly lauded for my being proactive because I made one phone call well before a deadline was approaching.
Number two... is okay. I feel last minute, but I'll be able to focus more once number one is out of the way. I just have to sit and write some emails and stuff, and then I'll feel a little better about it all.
Number three... argh. It will be fine once people calm down and remember that derby is (supposed to be) fun. So far, our new cappy's doin' a very very good job being captainly. Good thing, Trixie has big leadership skates to fill.
I will not think about Burning Man yet. I will not think about Burning Man yet. I will not think about Burning Man yet.
Good thing I had a pretty relaxing cool weekend with fun and food mixed in with the packing.

it is going slowly.
and painfully.
ah, well, at least it's not like something that must be finished tonight.
just something that i have some time to work on.

Date: 2006-05-31 01:09 pm (UTC)i don't know if you already have enough "cooks in the kitchen" for CON or not, but Aaron and I would totally be willing to help with any planning/setup etc. that is needed. we will be in the dealer room for a large part of the actual con-- but i can definitely help with the set-up gig.
iffin' you ever want to SKATE- lemme know, i am in eagan working m-f, so i could totally head out to ft snelling or any other cheap outdoor trails with you-- I definitely need the work out and when I am skating with a rollergirl i push myself harder--
