...aaaaaaand then my online bank statement says that $2,000 was withdrawn from my account this morning.

If it was, it wasn't by me. Or my Mom.

I kinda really need that money a whole lot tomorrow. You know, when we have to close on our new home.

Nice timing, world. Very cute.

EDIT:
They fixed it.
My heart rate is starting to return to normal.

The closing went smoothly. Two small paperwork thingies and we are all good.

Nope. Was definitely listed as just a great big plain-vanilla walk up withdrawal. Lovely shit that.

All the big monies need to be paid tomorrow. The preveious not as big intent check cleared out of my account last week.

It's gotta be a reporting glitch....

An ATM withdrawl or a teller withdrawl? Call the bank and tell them to check their security cameras!

who do you bank with? did you recently deposit the $2K or could it otherwise be "pending"? this would cause money to appear and disappear on an online statement--at least with someone like TCF it might.

Also, if you've been robbed, well, they can hardly fault you for that at closing. Can they? Fuckers.

Sheesh.
Straight to the bank with you, raise a little bit of a fuss. If they know how much of a big hairy deal this is they *may* float a credit until they figure it out. If there is fraud though, make them close out the account and open a new one on the spot.

Ohmygosh, that sucks so unbelievably much. If only real life was more like Monopoly, where bank errors actually end up in *your* favor. Bah. Sorry! :(

What a nice little roller coaster! Did they give any explanation of what happened?
