Exciting Day in Reality Camp
At least if I'm going to be without a car for a bit, it's during a time when I don't feel much like leaving the house.
I'm feeling pretty content and productive today, all told. Enough sleep and no obligations are a good combination.
azure_armand called me this afternoon and it was very nice to chat with him. Looking forward to the visit next month so long as it doesn't strain finances too much. Blah.
Paid some bills and the parking ticket we got before we left. Took a look at monies and it looks like house payment stuff already went through, which may be a big relief... I put my studio back together so I can get to work on the projects that sorely need to move to the front burner now that I'm back in town. Put some of the camping crap back up in the loft. Washed dishes and took out garbage, threw out food that had gone bad, left a message with the auto shop. Still up- laundry, laundry, laundry. And I need to deposit my paycheck. (Hooray, we got paid!)
I'm not sure where my camelbak thingy went. I hope I find it soon- there's still water in there and I don't want it to get all super gross before I have a chance to dump it out and clean it and everything.
Another bird got into our house and scared the crap out of me today, bumping against the skylight in a vain attempt to get out. Oh dear, not again. This one is much smaller than our visitor before. It looks almost like a little canary. It flits almost soundlessly from pipe to pipe. Come down, little thing. I really promise you can't get out that way...
We really have to get that screen from our neighbor, and a stick to close up the gap in our other window.
Not sure what I'm up for tonight. Before it took the tow truck an hour longer than they thought last night, I suggested we go to a bookstore and just hang out for a few hours, so maybe we'll do that (so exciting, my post-burn life). As it was, we were exhausted and hungry and ended up just getting some groceries and going home. Yep. Big time friday night. Oh well- we really can't keep up our dining out habits with all the travel and car bills coming up.
Maybe being carless will be a good impetus to get the motorcycle happier- I only have a few more weeks before it starts getting too cold to ride. I hope it is just as simple as resetting the idle screw. Hey, rgeorge, wanna help me troubleshoot? I have this windshield...
