Called the shop and told them we're giving it up. The woman there said a guy there might be interested in giving us a bit of money for it, so that's cool... Otherwise we'll either donate it or just have a junkyard take it away, I guess. Blah. I wish my motorbike was running. I should try starting it up again now that it's warmer and drier than it was this weekend.

I've gotten a sore throat right before bed the last two nights. It's been okay when I wake up, but it has me a little worried. I don't feel like I can afford to get sick right now. I'm trying to get full nights of sleep, to remember to take vitamins, and to eat. Sometimes it's easy for me to get busy here and forget to eat or accidentally skip lunch, and I rarely eat breakfast in general. My stomach doesn't like me if I eat vitamins without food in there first and I tend to forget to take them later in the day (or they give me crazy weird sleep if I take them at night), so these things tend to be related.

My coworker just walked into my office a bit ago, wanting to know if I knew anyone who wanted to buy a car. It's a 2005 Saturn Ion, and he's asking $10,000. I told him I wasn't sure what your price range was, but I'm passing it on.

How old is your pillow and mattress? I used to have the worse problems with night-time asthma until my naturopath asked me that. I went out and bought a new pillow and put an allergy barrier over it and the problem went away. Allergy barriers are like a pillowcases that have a rubber lining to keep the particulates, especially from feather pillows inside. They are noisy at first, but they do get softer.

I feel the same way about vitamins. I try to take them at night before I go to bed.

I think they say it takes 28 consecutive days to make something a habit.

it sounds like your life is totally on fast forward right now, and i bet that the stress level is doing nothing good for your over-worked immune system. I'm in love with Airborne (a vitamin supplement supposedly to put off colds)-- I take it everytime I fear I am catching something and it fixes me right up--

I was really bad about breakfast stuff before my cleanse, too. but after one month of eating a smoothie for breakfast every morning, I feel about a billion times better and my energy level is actually pretty even (i used to have a lot of ups and downs) maybe something as simple as a cup of soymilk or almond milk with protien powder or blended with frozen fruit would give a little boost to your immune system in the morning.....

okay, enough mom stuff. hopefully i will see you at the bout this weekend!

Yeah, I've been trying to eat *something* with my coffee in the morning just to have something there.
I've heard good stuff about Airborne, maybe I should give it a shot.

Airborne's cool, but the uber-doses of C can kinda mess with your stomach if there isn't anything in there.

I've had problems with multivitamins bugging my gullet. I take a couple hippy kid's chewables instead. I think the kind I have is called "Animal Friends." They're fruit-juice-sweetened, full of minerals and micronutrients like spirulina and stuff, and vegan. I'm sure you can get them at any co-op or health food store.

Plus, taking your vitamins is much more pleasant when they're tasty, and not choking down giant horse-pills.

Eleuthero (a.k.a. Siberian Ginseng), is good for helping your body and immune system deal with stress. It's not a stimulant like the other varieties of ginseng. It helps keep me from getting all run-down and sick when I'm stressed out.

Witch doctor mode: off.
